Routine maintenance is something that, although many car owners will tell you they perform, actually goes ignored. Whether it’s something as simple as an oil change or tire rotation, you’d be surprised at how many times these simple tasks are ignored or overlooked. Instead of guessing when you need something done, we’ve created a short list of service indicators, and the estimated intervals of when they need to be performed.

Oil Change:

For older cars pre 2008, it’s always been the norm to change your oil every 3-5000 miles. With newer cars that use full synthetic oil, they have the capability to run for almost 10,000 miles or more between oil changes. Note that the more frequently you change your oil, the less buildup occurs in your engine, resulting in a healthier car, and better gas mileage!

Tire Rotations:

It’s important to understand that not all of your tires are going to wear the same way, and the conditions in which you’re driving play a huge factor in that. Having your tires rotated at least once per year is recommended so that you can ensure even wear between tires, and not worry about premature wear or the dangers that come with bald tires.

Fluid Flushes:

Depending on how often you drive your car, it’s sometimes beneficial to schedule a fluid flush more often than not — maybe once per year. This includes your brake fluid, transmission fluid, coolant, axles and more. Again, the cleaner it is, the more efficient it allows it to run, resulting in a longer lifespan of key components to your vehicle.

Filter Changes:

Just like oil changes, it’s important to change your air filters every 10,000 miles or so. This prevents particles in the air from getting into your car’s intake system, as well as the cabin, which can keep your car running healthier as well as have you breathing cleaner air!

In addition to the minor maintenance that your car needs, other jobs need to be completed as time goes on, such as gasket changes and head replacements. When you’re in need of someone who can perform ANY repairs on your car, turn to an establishment who’s been around to work on all cars and keep them ALL on the road longer, and more efficiently.
